Chankanaab Nature Park is named after the Chankanaab Reef right off shore of the park.   The park offers a wide variety of activities.  The Dolphin Discovery program gives you a chance to get up close and personal with our underwater mammalian friends the dolphin and the manatee.  There is a sea lion show that performs several times a day.  Chankanaab has plenty of beautiful beach, with tables and a waiter to take your drink and food orders.  The entrance to an immense under water cave system, which has a Discovery Channel documentary on finding Mayan artifacts deep in the caverns, is located in the park.  A beautiful path winds you through an exotic batanical garden with a stop in a Mayan village replica and replica's of Mayan artifacts through out.  Last but not least is snorkeling on an amazing reef teaming with underwater life.
